Latest Requirements for Passengers to Apply for Health Codes Before Traveling to China

In accordance with the latest COVID-19 prevention and control requirements of the Chinese government, all passengers flying from the Philippines to China are required to apply for health declaration codes with "HDC" mark (Hereinafter referred to as "Health Code") by logging on the website https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ via computer or smart phone. The Embassy hereby reminds passengers to follow our latest requirements below that will be implemented starting from July 9, 2022.

1. Requirements for ordinary passengers

All passengers are required to take 2 nucleic acid tests before boarding whether vaccinated or not and the results should be negative. The first and second nucleic acid test should be done within 48 hours and 24 hours in different testing labs with legal testing qualifications in the Philippines. Once passengers obtain the two negative reports, please upload them to the website as soon as possible. The Embassy will issue Health Codes in time for those who meet the requirements.

to apply for Health Code.

① Two nucleic acid test reports of negative results

② The data page of your valid passport or travel document

③ The data page of your valid Chinese visa or relevant valid residence permit

④ Flight itinerary

√ Please be reminded to check the above requirements carefully and make sure to upload all the documents required so as not to miss the flight.

2. Requirements for those who have suspected symptoms or who have close contact with confirmed cases or asymptomatic infections 

That is, those traveling with persons with positive nucleic acid test results, and those with "uncertain" nucleic acid test results before boarding, and those with symptoms such as fever, cough, fatigue, and respiratory discomfort before boarding, are required to take 5 days of health monitoring. If there is no abnormality during the monitoring period, the tests requirements are the same as those of ordinary passengers.

3. For passengers who caught Covid-19

That is, those who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or undiagnosed but the nucleic acid test shows positive, are required to follow the procedure below after 2 weeks of recovery.

Waiting for the nucleic acid to turn negative: Please take the 1st & 2nd nucleic acid test in two different testing labs recognized by the Embassy at least 24 hours apart. After obtaining the abovesaid 2 nucleic acid reports with negative results, the process of recovery recognition is considered complete.

After 2 weeks of recovery recognition aforesaid, please provide 2 reports of nucleic acid tests with negative results, at least 24 hours apart, from different testing labs with legal testing qualifications in the Philippines, as well as the data page of valid passport or travel document to the Embassy via Email for checking. Subject of the email should be "Name + Passport/travel document number + Application of recovery confirmation". The email address specified by the Embassy is manila_hr@csm.mfa.gov.cn

Please apply for the health code according to the requirements of ordinary people after receiving a reply email of "Confirmation of Recovery Checking “通过确认痊愈审核” from the Embassy.

4. Note

The Embassy’s relevant requirements will be dynamically adjusted according to the epidemic situation. Passengers going to China are required to monitor their own health and take precautions before boarding and during the journey to avoid cancellation of the trip due to infection.

Please refer to this Notice and all previous Notices have expired. The latest Notice will be officially implemented from July 9, 2022. Passengers who take flights after the date should pay attention to and abide by the latest requirements.
