Notice on Adjusting Requirements for China-bound Passengers’ Application of Health Codes

According to the latest COVID-19 prevention and control requirements of the Chinese government, all passengers going to China from the Philippines are required to apply for health codes at the website https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ via computer or smart phone before departure. The Embassy would like to remind passengers to follow our latest requirements of this notice effective from Nov. 17, 2022.

1. Passengers taking direct flights to China are required to have ONE nucleic acid test within 48 hours before boarding, and upload the following documents for health code application if the test result is negative.

① The negative nucleic acid test report

② The data page of your valid passport or travel document

③ The data page of your valid Chinese visa or relevant valid residence permit (Except for those eligible for visa exemption)

④ Flight itinerary

2. Transit passengers are required to take only ONE nucleic acid test at the place of origin or transit within 48 hours before boarding the final flight to China. 

Please be reminded that transit passengers without entering into the Philippines are required to take a nucleic acid test at the place of origin and apply for a Health Code from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate at the place of origin, since the transit area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not available for testing. Please ensure your health code is still valid when you board the plane in Manila.

3. The special requirements for the Confirmation of Recovery and other relevant procedures of close contacts and those with infection history, suspected symptoms, uncertain test results are no longer implemented.

In the event of any inconsistency between the previously released information and this notice, this notice shall prevail.
