On June 5, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met in Beijing with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand and attended an event acelebrating the Princess' 50th Visit to China.

Han Zheng warmly welcomed Princess Sirindhorn's visit to China and asked her to convey the cordial greetings and best wishes of President Xi Jinping to King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and expressed appreciation of Princess Sirindhorn's great enthusiasm for and important contributions to the development of bilateral relations since her first visit to China in 1981.

Han Zheng said that China-Thailand friendship has spanned thousands of years, and the time-honored China-Thailand relations have been growing with new vitality. China is ready to work with Thailand to implement the important common understandings reached between leaders of the two countries, inherit and carry forward the traditional family-like friendship between China and Thailand, continuously advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and deepen practical cooperation across the board, so as to achieve common development and prosperity.

Sirindhorn thanked China for its strong support for Thailand's fight against COVID-19, saying that she traveled all over China during her 50 visits to China and deeply felt the warmth and friendship of the Chinese people. She expressed sincere wish for China’s prosperity and everlasting friendship between the two countries.
