On May 5, 2016 local time, Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni of Italy jointly met the press after holding talks in Rome.

When answering questions regarding China-Italy joint police patrols, Wang Yi expressed that the patrols form a touching and beautiful scenery on the streets of Rome. This move symbolizes that the cooperation in public security and law-enforcement departments between China and Italy has reached a new height, demonstrating the continuously increasing mutual trust between China and Italy and adding new connotation to China-Italy friendship.
